Sun Prairie West girls track claims regional title

The Sun Prairie West track and field team has been opening eyes all season as an immediately competitive program despite being in its first year. The Wolves took that expectation of competence to the next level in their first taste of WIAA state tournament action, as well.

They made the trip to Oregon High School for WIAA regionals on Monday, May 22 and showed out. The girls dominated to take first place with a team score of 127.5 and the boys earned third place with a score of 105.5. Sun Prairie West had six individual regional champions, four girls and two boys, as well as myriad other finishes near the top.
