The accolades continue to pile up for Sun Prairie West’s inaugural softball season. After holding their own in the ultra-competitive Big Eight conference this season, the Wolves can now point to some postseason awards that will forever hang in their halls.

After dismantling No. 10 seed Waunakee in the opening round of the WIAA state tournament, the No. 7 seed Wolves bought themselves a road date with No. 2 seed Tomah on Thursday, May 25. Sun Prairie West never looked like the lower seed, scoring three runs in the top of the first inning and two more in the second to claim a historic 6-3 victory and a regional championship.
