The Waterloo American Legion Post 233 Auxiliary will host a movie and popcorn night June 20 at the Legion Post Hall on State Highway 89.

A family friendly film, “Sgt. Stubby: An American Hero” is based on a true life story of the most decorated World War I military dog.

He was likely the start of the modern military and police dog training programs.

The award-winning, computer animated film runs for 85 minutes.

The movie is open to the public. Doors open at 6:30 p.m. with the film starting at 7 p.m.
