Waunakee Community Middle School drama students are now in dress rehearsal for Shakespeare's comedy, "A Midsummer Night's Dream," putting the finishing touches on for the Dec. 2 performance. Director Kendra Thompson describes her modern adaptation of the play as follows:

"Just days before Princess Hippolyta's coronation, magical mayhem ensues in the enchanted forest surrounding her palace. Fairy-sister-queens feud. Two young couples get lost in the woods, and under the midnight moon's light, bungling actors rehearse a terrible play quite terribly...Then true love's matches are salvaged, man morphs back to his original form, and Princess Hippolyta is crowned queen."
