Church supper?

Several area businesses teamed up to host a pop-up vendor event April 1 at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church in Waunakee, inviting customers who are parishioners to bring their weekly envelopes for the church. Lone Girl Brewing served sandwiches, Karben4 sold beer and seltzer, Stalzy’s Deli sold bread and Fischer Family Farm sold frozen meats. The hope is offer the pop-up each Wednesday from 4-7 p.m. at St. John’s. The businesses are also looking for other communities to organize such events to support bars, restaurants and nonprofits.
